“Creative Mediums and Studio Glaze” with Susan Tidwell

This month we will be focusing on and playing with some new artsy mediums from Imagine Crafts and Tsukineko. You will create a double spread in your journal using stencils, Distress stains and sprays, metallic and iridescent mediums, napkins and glaze.
Try products before you buy! I will explain their properties as well as fun techniques and ways to use them in your projects. Please join us even if you are a “newbie” - there are no rules or “have tos” in this class - just lots of fun ARTSY PLAY!

Supply List

art journal or mixed media paper
(you can find at LBH)

heat tool and palette knife (if you have)

one or two small napkins with images you like (if you have - I will have some to share)

Fancy Pants is Coming to the LBH!

Only a few more Days till Fancy Pants arrives at The Little Blue House!! We are so Excited to Celebrate National Scrapbook Day with Jodi & Jarred from Fancy Pants!

 

We have 3 Workshop held by Jodi while she is here in town and she is also bringing lots of extra class kits from layouts, cards, mini-books and more!!

Here's my finished project ... I love how it turned out! The frame is from Kaisercraft and the papers, chipboard frames, and wood veneers are from the I AM collection by Simple Stories I designed it to be a clothesline frame to clip my family's pics on! I added some embossed art metal to the frames and treated it with a special paint technique which you will learn in my workshop.
You can customize your paint colors if desired. I look forward to creating with you!!!

Join us for one of our new Spring Specialty Workshops, 

Creative Covers! Lynette Chiles will share with you how to make your own personalized creative cover for your bible, art journal, planner or favorite book! 

We will have several punches and stamps for you to use to embellish your covers with. All you need to bring is your bible, journal or book of your choice and a few of your favorite patterned papers, text, or music papers to work with.

Cheryl Darrow is coming to the LBH!!!

I'm so happy that my friend Cheryl Darrow will be coming to the Little Blue House to teach us more about her Cattle-ist Products (Ten Seconds Studio) .... I can hardly wait! I'll be taking this class 4 sure!!!

She will be teaching us some wonderful techniques using her Cattle-ist products while we create an Embossed Leather Book. I will post pics of the book as soon as she has them ready.

This month in our Card Keeper's Workshop...

We are featuring a little Christmas Joy! 

You will create two fabulous cards while learning all about a NEW Card Collection called Send it Clear from Clear Scraps. Some of the cards have a unique interlocking feature...Can't wait to show you!

You will also learn some quick and easy techniques to add some holiday magic to your cards and a fun way to send a photo card that doubles as a decor piece!

"Sew" Artsy Specialty Workshop

Instructor: Lynette Chiles

 

In this Specialty Workshop, Lynette will show you how to transform two ordinary wooden embroidery hoops into wonderful covers for your very own "Sew" Artsy Altered Hoop Book. 

She will guide you through the front, back, and inside covers during this fabulous workshop. You will also receive templates and expert instruction regarding the inner pages and she will be posting each page with a tutorial on her blog so you can finish the book outside of the workshop. Please bring your basics, heat gun, glue gun, and craft mat to class...everything else will be provided for you. If you would like to add a photo of yourself or someone else, please bring a laser copy with you to class.
