I want to invite all of you to come see us at the Great American Scrapbook Convention at the Arlington Convention Center this week! We will be located on the back wall in Booth #1111.  We have a fun Make & Take project for you to enoy and we will be selling our NEW Front Porch Kit! Stop by the booth to see all of the fabulous projects that are uber-talented FP DT has create out of our "One Sunny Day" Kit!

Our schedule will be a little different this week due to GASC.
The LBH will be closed on Thursday but will re-open
on Friday and Saturday for our FREE CROP WEEKEND!

Attention all Blue House Artsy Girls!

Our June meetings are less than two weeks away - Wed. June 8 - 6-9pm and Fri. June 10 - 10am-1pm.!  Just a reminder that we are having an "Artful Goodies Swap" where you bring something that can be used in our art. Anything goes - if you find more placemats with pieces that can be cut apart, great.  Or look around for other unusual things.  Bring one or several pieces for 15 people.  If you cannot make the meeting and want to participate, drop your items by the LBH BEFORE the meetings so we can include them in the swap.

Our project this month will be a "Scrappy Happy, Funky Junky, Hodge Podge Art Journal"!  The complete details and supply list are on the Blue House Art Group page on this blog - click the button at the top of the page.  Don't be scared by the long "scraps" list - these are SUGGESTED items to look for and bring.  Everyone does not need to bring everything and we will share.  You will need to bring an old hardcover book - the covers are what we will be using and they need to be in decent condition.

A NEW Front Porch Kit..."One Sunny Day"!

That's right folks...we have a NEW Front Porch Kit releasing this week!  We will begin showing some peeks today and every day until our Full Reveal which will be on Thursday, June 2nd.  Our NEW FP Kit is called "One Sunny Day"!

This month's kit is overflowing with a whole lotta HaPpY goodies! "One Sunny Day" is sure to brighten your Day!

With New Classes Came....

New Customers!

And we are so happy to have you join us.

We were frequently asked two
questions about our classes.

1. What does the class include?

&

2. What should I bring to class?

This is applicable to all our class attendees whether

you're new or have been to a class or two...

 or more.

First, when taking a class from the

 Little Blue House, your class will include

all of the items used to build and complete 

the project that were used in our sample.

(Some colors may vary depending on project selected)

This excludes common tools and consumable products

like adhesives and basic colors of inks and pens. 

Here is the list we call 

Your Basics 

(You will need to bring these to all classes or workshops)

Paper Trimmer 

 Scissors

Adhesives:(bring all listed)

 Tape Runner

 Glue Dots

 Pop Dots

Quick-Dry Liquid Adhesive

Glossy Accents or Diamond Glaze

Tacky Tape

Glue Gun with glue sticks

Cropadile or Hole Punch

 Black & Brown chalk ink pad

Black Journaling Pen

We regularly use these items when making a project. 

Having your supplies with you will help you to

complete the project in a timely manner.

Anything that is special to the project

will be made available during your class.

The list of basics are regularly stocked at the LBH in case

you run out and have to replenish your supplies.

Those purchasing kits to go will receive all product to build the projects except the consumable items that cannot be portioned such as paints, inks, mists, etc.

The bring your own basket party / class is tomorrow!

Hi girls... it's Lolly! This is the last call for my "Bring Your Own Basket" class (featuring loads of Prima products). The class will be held tomorrow evening at 6:30pm at the LBH!

There will be Prima prizes, a catered dinner (hosted the generous folks of Don Taco of Roanoke) and a live band too (starting at 8:15)!

Cost: $38

What you'll need to bring for class:

A white basket... (I used a plain white basket that was roughly 6x5 (base) and 7 inches tall (with the handle), pencil, ruler, scissors, water mister / sprayer (I have some extra misters so if you don't have one that's ok) a hot glue gun and at least 1 or two long glue sticks, OR you can also use Helmar's 450 glue.

There are only a few spots left in the class so give the LBH a call today to reserve your spot! I hope you gals can join us!
