"Image Transfer Techniques"
Cost: $25
This month we will be exploring all kinds of image transfers for adding a new dimension to your art journal pages. There are many methods of transferring images and it is not an exact science - the outcome can be unpredictable! Check out the supply list below and bring lots of images - the more you bring, the more you can play! And here's a great source for free images if you can't find any personal images you want to use: www.thegraphicsfairy.com.
(bring to every AJ class)
Dylusions Art Journal with a few pre-gessoed pages
Heat tool
Scissors
One or two paintbrushes (1/4"-1" sizes)
Black permanent ink pad (Staz On or Archival)
Black permanent pen (Faber Castell Pitt Pens in different sizes)
Non-stick craft sheet
White gesso
Decoupage glue (Mod Podge or gel medium)
This month in addition to the basic supply list above,
please bring these items with you:
Brayer or bone folder (or both)
Water mister
Small disposable plastic tub, like a butter or sour cream container
Small tube of ready-to-use CLEAR caulk (not the cartridge that requires the caulk gun!)
Images copied on lightweight copy paper, not photo paper (color or B&W)
(bring at least one sheet of different sized images from your INKJET printer from home - fit on as many as you can as we will be cutting them out; at least one sheet of either the same images or others copied at an office supply store - TONER copies; and a few small favorite magazine images)
*Important note: if your image includes text, be sure to make a reverse image so when it is transferred it will read correctly!
Call or Stop by the LBH to Reserve your Spot!
Please let us know if you would like us to
hold a Dylusion Journal for you!
Looking forward to some artsy play with you!
