MiniBook Mechanics

In this workshop, Cristi will show you how you the mechanics behind some of her fabulous minibooks! Not only, will you learn the mechanics of the book, but you will create one of your own during the workshop. You can take it home and finish the book off in your choice of papers and it can be any theme, color, etc. that your heart desires....or the book could be your prototype that you can refer to as you build more books in the future. Cristi is a excellent instructor and a Master Mechanic when it comes to designing innovative, interactive Books.

Susan will guide through “all things distress!” That means Distress inks, Distress paints, Distress stains and Distress markers. Revisit some “older” techniques and learn some new ones. You will also be having some Artsy Fun with Tim's Tag Stencils...

Please bring your Basics plus the following supplies:(*Please bring the supplies you have 
and we will also have some to share*)

          Your Dylusions journal

          gesso (or several gessoed pages)

          wax paper or scrap paper for keeping other pages clean

          Archival black ink pad

          artist brushes

          blending tool or makeup sponges

          Distress inks, paints, stains, markers *

          stencils and background stamps *

          heat tool

          Glue ’n Seal or Mod Podge

          paper scraps or images
